REVISED Spartan Blast Tourney Info...as of 9:00pm 5/29

The Tournament has been working hard to try and complete the tournament games as possible--but with literally our final day here, our Pool of teams will each only play two games before the semi finals.  Of course it is not an ideal situation, but what can you do when Mother Nature isn't as interested in baseball as we are!
Below is the schedule for Monday, May 30th, for our Warriors:

• 4:00pm Warriors v. Mokena Mudturtles (WE ARE VISITORS) @SAC2 (93rd & Kilbourn, main field)
• 6:00pm Semi-Final Games
• 8:00pm Championship Game

Seedings are based on the following:
1) Record
2) Head to Head Game Result
3)Runs Allowed
4) Coin Toss

Everyone should receive a copy of the current schedule/standings via email so can see where our Pool of play stands...not much information to work since all but one team has only one game completed!
Please have your player at the field by 3:00pm for pregame stretching and warm ups.  Also...the sun will be shining today--please be sure to have your player hydrated, with additional fluids available!

Memorial Day Tournament Cancels Games for Sunday, May 29th

Due to weather conditions, all tournament games for the Spartan Blast Memorial Day tourney have been cancelled for Sunday, May 29th.  We will plan for our 9:00am game tomorrow, Monday, 5/30, until we hear otherwise.  Warrior families will receive a text message regarding any further changes, which will then be posted here.

The Spartan Blast Memorial Weekend Tourney schedule has been determined--if any player is unable to make one of these games, you must notify Coach Dennis IMMEDIATELY!

For our first and fourth game, we are the HOME team and will wear our white jerseys. For the second and third game we are the VISITING TEAM and will wear our red jerseys.  Please be sure to bring both jerseys to every game in case we need to have an alternate plan.

MAPS OF FIELDS:
The fields are all part of one large complex--just north of Christ Hospital.  Parking is available off Kilbourn, but it is limited.  When playing at the Kostner field, parking is available on the road (93rd) and I believe at a nearby school--based on previous year's experience.

Warriors Take on the Homer Heat Tuesday!

Our Warriors are taking on the Homer Heat in a scrimmage game Tuesday, May 17th, 8:00pm at Humphrey 3.  Please have all players at the field by 7:15 for pregame warm ups.  If anyone cannot make this scrimmage or will be late, please let Coach Dennis know immediately!

Practice/Game Schedule Next Two Weeks

Weather permitting tomorrow we will be practicing from 2:00-4:00 at Schussler South. Please have players at practice by 1:45.  We expect to have the league schedule by Sunday or Monday. 

Below is our practice game schedule for the next 2 weeks. Please contact Coach Dennis AS SOON AS POSSIBLE  know if you will not be able to attend any of these games. All players who are playing on their HS teams should be available after May 21. 

• Tuesday, May 17, 8:00pm vs. Homer Heat Colt Selects at H3
• Saturday, May 21, 2:00 pm vs. Tinley Bobcats Colt Selects at Schussler South
• Tuesday, May 24 8:00 pm vs Tinley Park Bulldogs 15U Travel at H3

As Weather Improves, Practices are ON!

The weather is getting better!!  Next Practice...

• Thursday, May 5th, 6:00-7:30pm at Marley Creek Park which is located in the Preserves neighborhood (see link in park name).  This is a practice for all players.  Parking for this park is located off of Marley Creek Boulevard--however, you must head south on Marley Creek Boulevard all the way to the end (T-intersection at Marley Creek & Twin Lakes Drive), make a U-Turn at the T-intersection to then head north on Marley Creek Boulevard so you can enter the parking lot on the east side of Marley Creek Blvd.
• Friday, May 6th, 5:45-8:00pm at Centennial 4. This is a mandatory practice for pitchers and catchers, all other positions are invited to attend but not required to be there.
• Saturday, May 7th, 2:00-4:00pm at Schussler Park South.  This practice may turn into a scrimmage game, but we are awaiting confirmation that another team is available.
