Due to rain, our scrimmage game vs. the Warriors 14U team has been cancelled.

Depending on the weather...we aer scheduled for a scrimmage game tomorrow, Tuesday, April 19 at 5:30 @ C4. We will wear our RED jerseys. Please have all players at the game by 4:45.  The weather looks like an issue again so please call the Weather Hotline before the game 708-403-6290.

Saturday's Scrimmage v. Warriors 14U is CANCELLED!

Tomorrow's scrimmage game against the Warriors 14U game has been cancelled due to the expected rain and unplayable field conditions. This game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 27th--we will confirm the field soon.


At this point you should be receiving email and/or text notifications from OYA Athletics with changes to our schedule (and sometimes reminders also). Please note...if you did receive the notification regarding this game cancellation and the subsequent rescheduling of fields in Lemont--we believe this is an error and will let you know the field information soon.

If you have not received any email/text notifications from OYA, please let Coach Dennis know--this is part of the system when you registered with OYA and perhaps the system has an incorrect email address for you. Coach Dennis can help resolve this issue.

Saturday Scrimmage vs. 14U Warriors

This Saturday, April 16th, we have a scrimmage game scheduled against the Warriors 14U team at 2:00 at Schussler South. We will be the home team on Saturday and will wear our white jerseys. Please have all players at the field by 1:00. It is important for the team to have a repeatable warm-up before every game to prevent injury and to be sharp for the first inning. If a player is going to be late (after 1:00 for Saturday's game), please contact me. Playing time will be affected for players who are late if and you have not contacted me in advance. If anyone cannot make the game, also please contact me.


There is rain in the forecast for today and tomorrow so please call the weather hotline before the game 708-403-6290.

One last note is that we have added the final player to our roster. Julian Gutierrez has been added to our roster. Julian is currently playing on Sandburg's Freshman Baseball team and will join us late in May. Please welcome him and his family to our team.

Scrimmage Set for Tuesday's Practice Time

This Tuesday's practice will be a scrimmage game vs. the Magic 14U team--PLEASE WEAR WHITE JERSEY.  The coaches have been able to assess several things during a game and this will provide our players a better chance to continue to improve during game-time conditions.  Game is 8:00-10:00pm at Humphrey 3. 

Warriors Demonstrate Strength at Weekend Scrimmages!

Spring training is essential to shaking off the rust in baseball, but nothing beats actually playing a game on the field to see where everyone is sitting.  Our Warrior players demonstrated they are ready to play this past weekend, as they stepped up to the plate against the Magic 14U team. 

A 10-6 WIN Saturday helped build the confidence of the players; a tough loss Sunday kept them humble.  Overall the coaches were able to see the players at many different positions and work out some kinks that can only be smoothed on the field.

Outdoor Practices Begin!

Tuesday, April, 5 will be our first outdoor practice of the year. Practice is from 8:00-10:00 at Humphrey 3 (H3). At this point, the weather looks ok, but it will be cold after 8:00pm so please make sure your player dresses appropriately. At 7:30 prior to practice we will have a short parents meeting. Please bring the last payment of $250 for the season to the parent meeting if you haven't given me the payment already. Included at the end of this post is the team schedule for the next couple weeks. If you have any questions please let Coach Dennis know, and if a player cannot attend something please let him know in advance whenever possible.
The Weather Hotline number is 708-403-6290. At this time of the year you never know how the condition of the field is so please call the Weather Hotline before each practice/game.

All players that are playing on their high school team do not have to attend practices or games if there is a conflict with a high school event; however, if there is no conflict with the high school team, Coach would like these players to come to practice games to support their teammates and help with things on the bench. These players will not play in our games until their high school season is over but if you can get them to the field it would be good for them to support their Warrior teammates!

Finally we are confirmed for our first tournament of the year over Memorial Day Weekend (May 26-30). The tournament will be played at Oak Lawn HS. As we get closer to Memorial Day, the schedule information will be posted here.
